Since I love seasonal makeup edits so much I decided to cut my usual ‘Autumn Makeup Picks’ in half for double the beauty! Since I previously posted ‘The Autumnal Eye Edit‘ featuring a bunch of my favourite eyeshadow palettes and shades, today I’m discussing my go-to lip products for Autumn! To me this seasonal is all about those rich, vampy tones, so my Autumnal lip picks feature a bunch of shades from metallic burgundies and burnt oranges to reds and deep cranberries. Since the weather has recently gone cold, it finally feels like Autumn has arrived! While I’ve already started rugging up in tights, coats and turtlenecks, I’ve also been whipping out the Autumn themed makeup for the cool change too! Since I love my seasonal makeup round ups so much, I’ve decided to cut my usual Autumn Makeup Picks post in half for double the beauty! So, without further ado, here are some of the burgundy toned palettes and shadows I’ve been reaching for recently to achieve the perfect, Autumnal eye! I couldn’t let Easter pass us by and not post about it! Whether it’s because they’re chocolate scented, have cute candy themed names, or they’re shaped like a freaking egg, here are some Easter themed makeup products I think are perfect for the upcoming holiday! I love changing up my makeup to suit a certain theme, so check out some of my previous makeup edits such as my Valentine’s Day Makeup Picks and my Summer Makeup Picks to read more of these posts! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know and let’s crack on with the egg-cellent makeup picks (I’m sorry, but I had to, and now it’s behind us).
Whether you love it for loath it, there’s no denying that Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! I personally love the holiday and see it as a celebration of every form of love – not just romantic! Plus, it falls near my birthday, so I’ve always liked that my birth month is associated with hearts and love! I absolutely love curating seasonal makeup picks, so here’s a collection of beauty items I think are incredibly appropriate for this time of the year, no matter what your plans are for the 14th. Whether it’s because they’re pink, heart shaped, or smell like actual chocolate, these items make perfect Valentine’s Day gifts for a special beauty lover – i.e. you! The days are longer, the beaches are busy and I’m having breakdowns while trying to get ready because it’s just so freaking hot – Summer is here! I can’t stand this season, my heart belongs to the heavy layers, cold mornings and hot drinks of Autumn and Winter. However, I do like makeup and change what I wear depending on the time of the year. When I think of Summer makeup I think of glowy, sun kissed, bronzed skin, warm eyeshadows and natural colours on the lips. Here are the beauty bits I’ve been wearing these past few weeks, plus some products that I can confirm stay on through the hottest of heatwaves. So, let’s crack on with things and if you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know!
New Years Eve makeup is all about being ultra glam with enough glitter and sparkle to rival the ball that drops in Times Square! Since New Years celebrations are at night I take that as permission to go big or stay home. From statement earrings to metallic eyeshadows, I’ve gathered up what I know I’ll be rocking in a few days time when I finally wave everything that was 2016 goodbye! So, let’s crack on with things and I hope you find some inspiration on what makeup to wear as you bring in the New Year!
To me there is nothing more festive, makeup wise, than a gorgeous bronzy gold shimmery eye, festive red lips and lots of frosty, blinding highlight. Let’s all collectively ignore the fact that my seasonal beauty picks is a little later than normal. While Summer is right around the corner, we still have a solid few weeks of Spring and with that I bring you my Spring Makeup Picks! To me, Spring makeup is all about that perfect transition from heavy Winter foundations and dark hues to more natural and glowing Summer shades. During this time of the year I’ve found myself leaning towards pastel pink shades, focused more on highlighting and have opted for a slightly warmer foundation. I’ve been wearing these products everyday since Spring sprung a few months back and I’ve been enjoying them so much, so I hope you enjoy my beauty picks for this season too!
Orange decorations are popping up in stores, creepy and cute makeup tutorials are flooding my subscription box, and the house down the road from me was fully decked out as a haunted house by the first of October – Halloween is here! I love this time of the year but funnily enough I’m a scaredy cat through and through, Pretty Little Liars and Scream Queens is as “spooky” as I like to get (however I’m dying to watch Stranger Things when this semester is done!). While I can’t sit through a horror film, I do love makeup and change what I wear depending on the time of the year. Today I’ve picked items I love for their quality, but also for their very appropriate and gothically gorgeous packaging! So, here are my vampy makeup picks for the spooky season!
The weather has turned insanely cold recently here in Australia which means winter is well and truly in full swing! My skin changes with the seasons and therefore requires different products to create different looks, so I thought now would be the perfect time to share with you what products I’ve been reaching for lately! I did a post like this a little while ago called “Autumn Makeup Picks“, so you can read that too if you’re interested! There are no rules to makeup, I wear whatever shades and tones on any day of the year, but I do feel like certain trends become more popular during different times of the year and right now this is what I feel like is perfect for winter. So, let’s get into it and I hope you enjoy my winter makeup picks!
