Since I love seasonal makeup edits so much I decided to cut my usual ‘Autumn Makeup Picks’ in half for double the beauty! Since I previously posted ‘The Autumnal Eye Edit‘ featuring a bunch of my favourite eyeshadow palettes and shades, today I’m discussing my go-to lip products for Autumn! To me this seasonal is all about those rich, vampy tones, so my Autumnal lip picks feature a bunch of shades from metallic burgundies and burnt oranges to reds and deep cranberries. For this week’s RuCreate The Look post I was inspired by not a runway look, but a makeup look from the main challenge! The queens were tasked with acting out an episode from 9021H0, and I became obsessed with Valentina’s Monna Dartin look. From the nude lip to the light blue eyeshadow to the overall styling, her look screamed 90’s perfection and I just had to feature it! Keep reading to see what products I’d use to rucreate something similar, and to also read my thoughts about this weeks episode! April turned out to be one of my busiest months yet! In the last few weeks I discovered a bunch of new beauty favourites, celebrated a 21st, two weddings and Easter, hurled over too many university assignments, cried a bit too much over Harry Styles’ solo debut, visited my sister up north and hit a huge blogging milestone! *catches breath* Here are my April Favourites!
I’m back with not one but two instalments in my RuCreate The Look series! I missed my last one because I was in between travelling and university got so hectic that I just couldn’t make blogging a priority. So, today I’m combining my thoughts from episode 5 and 6 into one post while celebrating Shea’s incredible neon look from episode 5’s faux fur runway! I hope you enjoy this post and if you do, please give it a “like” so I know and let’s jump into it, we’ve got a lot to cover!
Since the weather has recently gone cold, it finally feels like Autumn has arrived! While I’ve already started rugging up in tights, coats and turtlenecks, I’ve also been whipping out the Autumn themed makeup for the cool change too! Since I love my seasonal makeup round ups so much, I’ve decided to cut my usual Autumn Makeup Picks post in half for double the beauty! So, without further ado, here are some of the burgundy toned palettes and shadows I’ve been reaching for recently to achieve the perfect, Autumnal eye! I told myself I’d take a break from blogging this week, as uni is really ramping up, unless the new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race was interesting enough to write about – well, here we are! I freaking loved this episode, no surprise, and just couldn’t help myself once I watched it. Even though this weeks runway was so fast it almost gave me whiplash, I loved so many looks, especially Farrah Moan’s. So, this week’s RuCreate The Look is dedicated to her! Let’s get into it and if you enjoy this post, please give it a “like” so I know!
I’m back back back back, back again (someone please get the reference) with another instalment of my new RuCreate The Look series! Last week I celebrated the premiere of my favourite show, RuPaul’s Drag Race, coming back for a ninth season by launching a new blog series where I gather up the beauty bits I own that I’d use to recreate my favourite look from each week’s runway, plus give a quick recap of the episode! Last week was Feelin’ Peachy, which was inspired by Nina’s peach look, and this week is inspired by none other than my current favourite queen, Valentina! Her Spanish bridal look complete with gold cross earrings and orchids in her hair, which was inspired after her parents’ wedding day, gave me chills. I thought she looked absolutely phenomenal and it instantly became one of my favourite looks to ever walk the Drag Race runway. SO it was only logical to dedicate this weeks rucreation to Valentina! Whether you love her or loathe her, there’s no arguing that I get sucked into the Kylie Cosmetics hype time and time again! Along with a bunch of lip kits and her Burgundy Kyshadow palette, I bought myself the 5 Piece Eyeshadow Brush Set for Christmas last year, and I’m finally reviewing them! Keep reading to know my thoughts on these brushes, what I use them for, and if I think they’re worth buying for yourself. Everyone loves a good old fashioned haul, but it was only when I was scrolling through my feed and saw catflicksandmattelips’s The First Anti-Haul of Many post that I thought, “my god, that’s brilliant.” Thank you so much for that post catflicks, because I thought it was amazing and it completely inspired me! I talk so much about products I love and what’s currently on my wishlist, but I’ve decided to flip the script and round up some makeup releases that have left me feeling a little less than impressed. Whether it was because I hauled quite a bit of makeup from Christmas and my birthday, or because university and work is officially in full swing and I’m busier, but I just haven’t been feeling very excited about any new releases recently. This is wonderful for my bank account however, so you know, silver lining. If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know, and let’s get on with the products that have made me think bye girl, bye.
I turned 19 at the start of this month and since then I’ve gathered up quite a haul! My family and friends absolutely spoiled me and made me feel so loved, so I can’t thank them enough for their generosity! I love reading these types of posts from people and I know others do to, so let’s crack into this and I hope you enjoy it! If you do, please give this post a “like” so I know!
