Treasures From My Travels

Treasures From My Travels

When you travel to Florence, Pisa, Venice, Paris and London and love pretty things as much as me, you’re bound to come back home with a bag – or three – of precious items! While I bought my fair share of generic souvenirs like key rings and tea bags, I thought I’d feature the more unique treasures I stumbled across during my travels. Whether you’re travelling soon and want to know what’s out there, or just love a good old-fashioned haul, I hope you enjoy this post! If you do, don’t forget to give it a “like” so I know, and let’s get into the global goods!

A Guide To Florence Food

A Guide To Florence Food

In January I was lucky enough to live in Florence for three weeks for a short term university exchange. In that time I managed to eat my way through the city, from trying the best pizza between classes, to hopping from one incredible pasta place to the next, to ignoring the European winter and tasting all the gelato I could! Since I spent so long in Florence, I was able to try heaps of different eating spots (and sometimes go back a second and third time!) so I feel confident enough in my recommendations to pass them onto fellow travellers heading to this Italian city! Keep reading to see what places I recommend, what you absolutelyย must order from their menu, and to pick up some tips I learnt while I was there! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know, and let’s get into the Florence food guide!

A Day In Venice

A Day In Venice

In January I spent three weeks studying overseas in Florence and on our weekends we would hop on a train and spend our free time exploring different Italian cities! Today we’re travelling to Venice where I weaved my way through the masked crowds celebrating the first day of carnevale, stood in awe at the incredible architecture of the historic floating city and bobbed along in a gondola with my friends! If you enjoy this photo diary then give this post a “like” so I know, and let’s get to Venice!

A Day In Pisa

A Day In Pisa

Since I’m currently studying in Florence, this past weekend I hopped on a train with some friends and spent the day in Pisa! It’s a beautiful little city and I’m so happy I was able to explore the place during my time studying overseas. We walked through the streets, soaked up the gravity defying beauty that was the leaning tower, did the classic tourist pose and stopped for lunch with the monument peaking up over the shops and apartments around us. If you enjoy this photo diary of sorts, give this post a “like” and let’s get into Pisa!

Inside The Gucci Garden

Inside The Gucci Garden

Since I’m staying in Florence for a few weeks to study, yesterday Natalie and I made use of our time out of the classroom and visited the Gucci museum! For the first time ever too, the original museum of the iconic Italian fashion house had some new additions to its exhibit, appropriately called the ‘Gucci Garden’. Feeling like Charlie in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, I clutched my golden, or in this case pink, ticket and made my way through the museum, jaw permanently dropped and camera at the ready to capture it all. Photos don’t do the exhibit justice, so if you’re a fashion lover and find yourself in Florence, put the Gucci museum at the top of your list! Keep reading to see inside the Gucci Garden, and don’t forget to “like” this post if you enjoy it!
