Everyone loves a good old fashioned haul, but it was only when I was scrolling through my feed and saw catflicksandmattelips’s The First Anti-Haul of Many post that I thought, “my god, that’s brilliant.” Thank you so much for that post catflicks, because I thought it was amazing and it completely inspired me! I talk so much about products I love and what’s currently on my wishlist, but I’ve decided to flip the script and round up some makeup releases that have left me feeling a little less than impressed. Whether it was because I hauled quite a bit of makeup from Christmas and my birthday, or because university and work is officially in full swing and I’m busier, but I just haven’t been feeling very excited about any new releases recently. This is wonderful for my bank account however, so you know, silver lining. If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know, and let’s get on with the products that have made me think bye girl, bye.
I turned 19 at the start of this month and since then I’ve gathered up quite a haul! My family and friends absolutely spoiled me and made me feel so loved, so I can’t thank them enough for their generosity! I love reading these types of posts from people and I know others do to, so let’s crack into this and I hope you enjoy it! If you do, please give this post a “like” so I know!
In regards to discussing skincare on my blog, I either never mention it or post a gigantic haul – today is a gigantic haul kind of day! Due to my birthday happening recently – birthday haul blog post coming soon! – and picking up my quarterly Mecca Beauty Loop Box, I’ve accumulated a bunch of new skincare items! I need to thank one of my best friends in particular because she inspired this entire post with her ridiculously generous birthday gift of enough face masks to last me the foreseeable future. I have been dying to try some out but had no idea where to start, but she definitely came through for me! Here’s everything I’ve collected over the last few weeks, so I hope you enjoy this post and if you do, please give it a “like” so I know!
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day filled with good food, good company and lots of laughter and presents! I did multiple gift guides this year, both affordable and high end, and I’m always curious to see what gifts people received, so I thought I’d share and post what I got for Christmas this year! I’m so lucky and grateful to have received everything here and you’ll definitely hear more about these products throughout 2017! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know! So, let’s crack on with things!
A couple weeks ago I was scrolling through my newsfeed when I saw beauty lovers everywhere sharing the same message from ColourPop Cosmetics – “FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!“. If you’re unaware, buying anything from ColourPop and shipping it to a country that isn’t America costs a flat rate of $25 USD, that’s roughly $32.95 AUD to ship an $8 liquid lipstick! Not only that, but that price of shipping increases the more items you buy as it goes up by weight. Long story short, I never bothered to ever consider using, let alone owning, ColourPop products as they just seemed so far away and inaccessible – UNTIL NOW. I whipped up a wishlist and got ready for the promotion to start, and now I can finally share my haul with you! I’m not going in depth with reviews as this is a haul, so you’ll get my first impressions for now and heaps of reviews in the future! I hope you enjoy my haul and let’s get on with it!
Chemist Warehouse is currently having 50% off all their cosmetics so of course I ran to my closest store and picked up a few things! I only ever buy cheaper makeup when it’s heavily reduced because you can save so much money that way (I saved $63!) and in all honesty full price “affordable” makeup in Australia isn’t actually that cheap! I stocked up on some well loved beauty staples plus nabbed some items I’ve had my eyes on for a while, so I hope you enjoy this haul and that it was a reminder to take advantage of the sale!
This time last week I drove an hour to the newly renovated Pacific Fair shopping centre on the Gold Coast in search of the brand new Sephora store. I can’t remember when the news broke that a Sephora was finally, finally, coming to my state, but I do recall screams and frantic group chat messages with my friends filled with hearts and crying emojis. The store met all my expectations and more, so I thought I’d shade with you my makeup haul and what I thought of the place, plus some pictures I took while I was there! So, I hope you enjoy reading about my first ever Sephora experience!
Throughout the last few months I slaved over assignments, hurdled over weekly quizzes and stumbled through an exam block, all the while keeping my eyes firmly on a light at the end of the tunnel – treating myself with makeup. I actually hate spending my money and feel like every beauty product in Australia is overpriced and not worth it. However, every now and then a sale sign will come up, or something I’ve had my eye on forever is actually in stock, or a highly anticipated eyeshadow palette has finally landed in Australia, and I will gladly treat myself. If you’re someone who struggles to justify buying something, or have worked your butt off in school, university or work so far this year, take this post as a sign it’s time to Treat Yo’ Self in a very Parks & Recreation fashion. Here’s a makeup haul of the things I treated myself to throughout the university semester!
The other week I was scrolling through my Facebook feed when someone in Cool Cat Group posted that Kikki K has a new collection out that features the cutest little cat designs! I thought the items were amazing but in the back of my mind just assumed they’d be quite pricey, as other items like planners I’ve eyed off in the past from Kikki K have been around the $50, if not more. So you can imagine my delight when I popped into my nearest Kikki K store and saw that the whole range was really well priced! I picked up my favourite things from the collection and thought today it would be nice to share my thoughts on them!
