As the weather stays gloomy and drizzly (which is actually my favourite) and the season gets spookier, a little Lush Cosmetics haul just seems appropriate! Lush is well known for releasing limited edition collections around the holidays, such as Easter, Halloween and especially Christmas. In fact, when I bought these products yesterday, half the display was filled with Christmas items already! My university semester is coming to a close, which means thankfully more time to relax, and more excuses to treat myself! I have been debating picking up a bunch of spooky, seasonal picks from Lush and yesterday finally popped a few items into my basket! Keep reading to find out what I bought and why, and if you enjoy this post, please give it a “like” so I know!
I’m aware that not even a month ago I was titling a previous blog post with the words ‘Kylie Cosmetics Haul’ and fawning over her pink, sparkly packaging. Well, Jenner’s entire online store had a 20% off summer sale, so I jumped on board and ordered myself a bunch of lipsticks and glosses and finally gave into the products I have been umming and ahhing over for months! Keep reading to find out which products I was dying to get my hands on, why I wanted them, and what my initial first thoughts on them are! If you enjoy this post or find it helpful, don’t forget to give this post a “like” so I know, and let’s jump into the haul!
Kylie turned twenty this month and with that came another new Kylie Cosmetics collection to help celebrate her birthday! I have an on and off relationship with Kylie Cosmetics, I’ll either adore something or not be interested in it one bit. I wasn’t excited by her recent beige and polka dotted vacation collection full of bronzers and nude matte lipsticks, however when this birthday collection was revealed on her social media platforms, I fell hard and fast! Below I break down what I bought from the collection (and what I didn’t buy and why) and include my first impressions of the products complete with swatches too! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know and let’s get into the haul!
In the beauty community it seems like every day a new product is either being announced on social media, released to the public or flooding my YouTube subscription box with reviews! Over the past few weeks I’ve had my eye on a couple of products but have decided I’m not going to purchase them, and here’s why! If you enjoy this post or find it helpful, please give it a “like” so I know and let’s get into another anti-haul!
As the university semester came to a close a few weeks ago I took any and every oppourtunity to splurge, each purchase falling under the annual treat yo’ self haul umbrella. It wasn’t hard to channel my inner Tom Haverford. Just handed in a big assignment? Treat yo’ self. Just finished a unit? Treat yo’ self. No idea how you just went in that exam? Treat yo’ self anyway! Last year I didn’t buy any makeup during the university semester and instead waited until the end as a huge reward, and I’ve now done it again this year! This last semester was the most difficult so far so I found it easy to ignore makeup as I was up to my eyeballs in interviews, articles and assignments. However, when I had only one exam left to study for, three little words in a ColourPop email (“free international shipping!“) sparked my interest, and it was a swift fall down the rabbit hole into the world of online shopping from there. All my purchases have finally arrived, so let’s jump into this haul and if you enjoy it please give it a “like” so I know!
Is it just me, or does every essential makeup product seem to run out at once? From almost finishing another bottle of foundation, to hitting pan on a setting powder, to being sick of never finding the right concealer shade, the ‘base’ section of my makeup bag was in dire need of a top up! Yesterday I popped to the shops to replenish my stash and pick up a few items I can’t go a day without. So, let’s get into the mini haul and don’t forget to give this post a “like” if you enjoy it!
Everyone loves a good old fashioned haul, but it was only when I was scrolling through my feed and saw catflicksandmattelips’s The First Anti-Haul of Many post that I thought, “my god, that’s brilliant.” Thank you so much for that post catflicks, because I thought it was amazing and it completely inspired me! I talk so much about products I love and what’s currently on my wishlist, but I’ve decided to flip the script and round up some makeup releases that have left me feeling a little less than impressed. Whether it was because I hauled quite a bit of makeup from Christmas and my birthday, or because university and work is officially in full swing and I’m busier, but I just haven’t been feeling very excited about any new releases recently. This is wonderful for my bank account however, so you know, silver lining. If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know, and let’s get on with the products that have made me think bye girl, bye.
