Burgundy toned eyeshadow palettes dominated the 2016 beauty landscape and they don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Since I have quite a handful of them, I thought I’d do a comparison post about them all! Today I’m comparing the Chi Chi Spices palette, the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette and the Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Kyshadow palette. Since I’ve done lengthy reviews on each of these palettes, which you can read by clicking the names, I won’t be breaking down each shade but instead looking at the price of each of these palettes, how accessible they are, what their formula is like, how similar they actually are and deciding which one I love best! I hope you find this comparison post helpful and if you do, please give it a “like” so I know!
From finding the absolute exact foundation match in a formula you love to discovering a mascara that ticks every box, there are some makeup products beauty junkies will go to the end of the earth to perfect. One of those is finding the ultimate liquid lipstick. At first I was hesitant to try them, but once I did I fell hard and fast and quickly became a woman possessed, determined to try every formula within grasp in search of the holy grail. This blog post has been in the works since around last September, but only recently I’ve been able to confirm I have a favourite and I’m very happy to stop looking (at least, for a long time). Have a found my favourite formula? Yes! Am I happy about who it’s from? Nope! Keep reading to find out how I think these liquid lipsticks stack up against each other and if you find this post helpful or enjoyable, please give it a “like” so I know! Let’s crack on!
It’s safe to say I’m well and truly on the highlighting bandwagon – it only took me a solid year or so. I tend to jump on “trends” when they aren’t even trends anymore because I’m that slow and indecisive on what to buy. A few days ago I realised that while I don’t own every highlighter on the market like others, the ones I do own are quite popular and accessible. It was only when a girl I know posted in a Facebook beauty page asking for a comparison did I realise “wait, I have both of those, and I can help them decide which to buy with some swatches”. I thought it would be helpful to do a post reviewing and comparing the highlighters I have, so here are my thoughts on the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette, the Balm’s Mary Lou-Manizer, and the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector!
During 2015 I set myself a few “beauty missions” and one of them was to find the perfect foundation for me. I had been using the same one for years, and since getting into makeup I had tried several different eyeshadow palettes, mascaras, concealers and more, but never attempted to revamp my foundation. So whenever I saw that sales were on I jumped at the chance to try out a few different affordable foundations all from varied brands.
Today I thought it’d be a nice idea to share with you my thoughts on each of the foundations I own, what I like and dislike about them, and how they stack up against one and other. Hopefully this helps you decide which foundation might be right for you if you’re currently on the hunt for a new one!
