July seemed like one of the quickest months of the year so far! June Jessica was so optimistic and thought she’d do so much over the university break; redecorate your room! Frame and hang those Etsy prints you bought! Create a Pinterest worthy home office space! While those projects will be completed another day, I did spend my break enjoying some old beauty favourites, discovering new shows and web series, devouring another Liane Moriarty masterpiece, and listening to the newest Lana album! So let’s get on with the monthly favourites and if you enjoy this post, please give it a “like” so I know!
Over the past few weeks I’ve hit pan on a bunch of pressed powders, completely finished a handful of lip balms and squeezed out the last drop of concealer – it’s definitely time for another Empties, Regrets and Reviews post! In this series I gather up all the empty products I’ve accumulated and review each one and decide whether or not it was a regret or if I’ll repurchase it! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know, and lets get into the empty products!
With Splendour in the Grass right around the corner, I thought now would be the perfect time to whip out the festival makeup picks and discuss what I think are some must have items to be taken along to the festivities with you! Admittedly, I’ve never been to a festival, however when I think of festival makeup I think of three words – statement yet easy. While elaborate tutorials made by beauty gurus are gorgeous, realistically if you’re camping at a festival for three days and want something quick and easy to achieve, packing and applying over 20 makeup products is a tad out of the question. Here I’ve gathered the bold items that pack a punch, but are easy enough to use to create a fuss free look that won’t slow you (and your squad) down from getting amongst the action and will stay on in the sweatiest of mosh pits! We’re in the middle of Winter at the moment here in Australia, and along with bundling myself up in coats and sweaters, I’ve also been mixing up my makeup for the change of season! Since the sweaty days of Summer are thankfully far behind us, the cooler weather means heavier foundations can be worn, smokey eyes seem more daytime friendly, and a frosty highlight is perfect for finishing it all off! If you like this post please give it a “like” so I know and let’s jump into this year’s Winter Makeup Picks!
As part of my Annual Treat Yo’ Self Haul I splurged and bought myself a few ColourPop Cosmetics products! When the magic words “Free International Shipping!” in the subject line of yet another ColourPop email caught my attention, I went in hard and hauled a bunch of their new pressed powder shadows! I’m finally reviewing the eight shades I bought, so give this post a “like” if you enjoy it or find it helpful and let’s get on with the review!
As the university semester came to a close a few weeks ago I took any and every oppourtunity to splurge, each purchase falling under the annual treat yo’ self haul umbrella. It wasn’t hard to channel my inner Tom Haverford. Just handed in a big assignment? Treat yo’ self. Just finished a unit? Treat yo’ self. No idea how you just went in that exam? Treat yo’ self anyway! Last year I didn’t buy any makeup during the university semester and instead waited until the end as a huge reward, and I’ve now done it again this year! This last semester was the most difficult so far so I found it easy to ignore makeup as I was up to my eyeballs in interviews, articles and assignments. However, when I had only one exam left to study for, three little words in a ColourPop email (“free international shipping!“) sparked my interest, and it was a swift fall down the rabbit hole into the world of online shopping from there. All my purchases have finally arrived, so let’s jump into this haul and if you enjoy it please give it a “like” so I know!

From finishing yet another semester of university to achieving some career milestones to getting a pop culture history lesson and more, June turned out to be one of my favourite months of the year so far! So get comfortable and grab a snack because we’ve got a lot to get through! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know and let’s get into the June Favourites!
