My birthday is approaching and in true wishlist fashion, I’ve gone from wanting nothing at all to customising the writing on a pair of Nikes and seeing if I could ever justify a Chloé bag. From realistic purchases I can make at Mecca Maxima to extravagant “yeah right” items, here’s a bunch of things I’ve been browsing recently, all displayed in a Photoshop collage I had too much fun putting together. Look at all that blush pink, copper and grey goodness! Give this post a “like” if you enjoy it and let’s crack on!
The (Sort Of) Realistic Mecca Purchases
My Mecca Beauty Loop Wishlist is a graveyard of items I’ve always had my eye on but have given up ever getting as I’ve deemed them too expensive – until now. Almost all of these items have been on my Wishlist (and in my heart) for a least a year and a half, so I think it’s finally time to give in.
Too Faced Love Flush Blush in “Baby Love” | $37; I’ve wanted one of these blushes since I was in high school and I’m now going into my second year of university – I need to commit! Since getting a mini of the shade “Love Hangover” for Christmas and finding it too pink for everyday wear, I tried out the shade Baby Love in Mecca and absolutely loved it.
Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer | $44 ; I’ve always ridden off bronzers as I’m so fair and thought they might be a bit of an overkill, but I’m in desperate need of some warmth to my skin and after trying this on in store, and swatching it on my arm for years, I cannot wait to get it.
Origins Clear Improvement Mask | $24; I have no idea what skincare is good for me, but a “natural clay mask that digs deep to unclog toxins, dirt and debris for a clear and radiant complexion” sounds amazing. I’ve had this on my Mecca Wishlist since the dawn of time and I’ve been wanting to purchase a mask for the occasional deep clean for ages now, so it seems like the right time.
Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face Superscreen SPF 50+ | $18; I had no idea there was a smaller version of the $40 bottle that you can get for just $18 – um hello! Add to cart! I’m super pale and burn easily, so something that’s 50+ and has been formulated to be worn underneath makeup is ticking a lot of boxes.
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation | $66; One of my 2017 Beauty Goals is to buy a high end foundation and for literal years I have been eyeing off this cult favourite. I used to have oily skin and thought it wouldn’t mix well, but since going on Roaccutane and having now more normal to dry skin, I think it’ll be a good choice (I’ll of course have to pick up a few more testers and try it out more!)
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette | $83; The price of this palette physically hurts my heart, but it’s been on my mind since it launched at Mecca ages and ages ago and I still always consider it. I think I’ll finally commit to it as every single shade is what I wear on a daily basis and Half Baked is me in an eyeshadow. Look at me talking myself into this.
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15+ | $79; I tried this primer once and it blew my mind, so I would love to own it one day. The 10ml bottle is $27 and at first I was like “pfft, 10ml, how much is the 30ml?” – $79. It’s $79. Just let that wash over you.
Shoes, Just So Many Shoes
Nike Free RN iD | $200; I’ve had the same pair of Nikes for about 5 years now and they’re green and fluorescent orange, so I think it’s time for a more chic upgrade, plus I’m constantly on my feet at work or crouching down, so I need a proper sneaker shoe. You can write a word on each shoe online and for a brief moment I toyed with getting the words “YAS” “QUEEN” printed. I never would, but still.
Aquazzura Velet Embellished Boots | $690; I love the velvet boot trend and so I’m already planning my *Winter Wardrobe*. I found this pair of Aquazzura ones on Net-A-Porter going for $690 (to be fair though, they’re down from $1,654). Be still, my beating heart. A more affordable alternative I found on ASOS however are these “skinny at the top” style ones I desperately want in every shade, starting with this gorgeous pink. Ego Shoes also has an amazing pair of embellished boots.
Blush Pink, Grey and Copper Everything (Surprise)
Personalised MIMCO Supermicra Medium Pouch in Rose Gold | $99.95; I low-key died when I first saw Mimco’s current collection in stores. It’s all made of Saffiano leather, plus Mimco’s now offering a complementary monogramming and embossing service, appropriately titled MIMBOSS. I’ve always eyed off their medium sized pouches and will finally take the plunge when I get my $30 Birthday Gift Card as part of their Mimcollective membership system. Did I mention you can get your freaking initials stamped into your purchase? I’m crying.
Chloé Faye Bag | $2,225.33; I blame one of my favourite bloggers Kate La Vie for mentioning this bag and sparking my interest in it. Look at that price though, as soon as I saw it I heard John Kuckian’s famous “can you imagine” line in my head. I’d never purchase this, but look how freaking gorgeous it is? It’s all my blush pink, gold hardware, fine leather goods dreams in one.
Zoeva Rose Golden Vol.3 Luxury Brush Set | $140; I don’t think I’d ever actually buy this set as a beauty sponge has replaced all face brush from here on out, but I will forever see it as the most gorgeous set of brushes ever created. I got the first edition of these Zoeva brushes for my 18th last year and absolutely loved them. If Zoeva ever created a set of eyeshadow brushes with this entirely rose golden finish, I’ll be first in line.
Every Season of RuPaul’s Drag Race on DVD | $280 AUD; Roughly $280 AUD on eBay for DVD’s that could potentially not work in my region. BGB. Bye girl bye. I’m making it my mission to one day own my favourite seasons – 4, 5, 6 and 7.
That’s finally everything that’s on my current wishlist! I know Christmas just happened, but what do you have your eye on? Leave me a comment below so we can chat!
