Welcome to my final blog post of the year! I say this every month, but I can’t believe this year has gone so fast. However, I remember sitting down and writing every single one of the 113 posts I’ve done, or setting up each flat lay, or excitedly writing down a new idea. Amongst all that content are definitely some favourites of mine that I just loved hitting “publish” on. So, like any good “End of The Year” countdown, here are my Top 10 Favourite Blog Posts From 2016! The posts mentioned here are the ones that I loved the writing, photography or overall concept of! So, let’s jump into it and if you enjoy this post, please give it a “like” so I know!
New Years Eve makeup is all about being ultra glam with enough glitter and sparkle to rival the ball that drops in Times Square! Since New Years celebrations are at night I take that as permission to go big or stay home. From statement earrings to metallic eyeshadows, I’ve gathered up what I know I’ll be rocking in a few days time when I finally wave everything that was 2016 goodbye! So, let’s crack on with things and I hope you find some inspiration on what makeup to wear as you bring in the New Year!
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day filled with good food, good company and lots of laughter and presents! I did multiple gift guides this year, both affordable and high end, and I’m always curious to see what gifts people received, so I thought I’d share and post what I got for Christmas this year! I’m so lucky and grateful to have received everything here and you’ll definitely hear more about these products throughout 2017! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know! So, let’s crack on with things!
Here we are at the end of my first ever 12 Days of Blogmas! Much like this whole year, I can’t believe it has come and gone so fast! As we’re so close to Christmas I thought I’d chill things out and finishing Blogmas by rounding up my favourite Christmas songs! We had our family Christmas party not too long ago and putting together the music for the night was so fun, so I thought now would be the perfect time to share my top picks from that playlist! I hope you enjoy this post, and I hope you’ve enjoyed all of my Blogmas posts this year! If you did, please give this post a “like” so I know! So, let’s get onto it!
Since I was so please with how my Christmas Tree Brownies turned out, I’m back with one last festive, super easy “baking” post before the year ends! A tradition we do every Christmas in my family is putting together a gingerbread house. It started all the way back when I was in middle school as during the last week of school you could sign up to get a ready made house and decorate it with your friends during class time. Once I moved into high school I didn’t have that opportunity anymore, so mum decided from then on we would buy, construct and decorate a house at home! Here are the photos of the one we constructed this year, with all the decorating done by yours truly! I hope you enjoy this post and get some inspiration from it to either construct one yourself this year or for next Christmas! If you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know!
If you read my monthly favourites you’ll know I finish every post by discussing my “non-materialistic favourites I can’t capture in a flatlay”. As time’s gone on that section of my posts has become longer and longer as I’ve felt more comfortable to share what I’d been loving recently, whether it range from 2000’s pop music to weekly web series run by two drag queens sitting in front of a green screen. I said in my January Favourites that if something makes you happy and you want to share it and celebrate it, then it deserved to be shared and celebrated! Since I’ve documented my monthly favourites for the past year and did a 2016 Beauty Favourites post, it only seems fitting to write a 2016 Non-Materialistic Favourites post rounding up my favourite things I can’t capture in a flatlay! These are the things I couldn’t stop watching, reading or listening to, the things that made my life easier, the things that got me through long lectures and made me laugh at the end of an exhausting week. So, let’s crack on with things, and if you enjoy this post please give it a “like” so I know!
It’s finally time for my 2016 Beauty Favourites, a post celebrating my most loved makeup items from the past year! While so many of these items have featured in my monthly favourites series, this post is a round up of the best of the best! One thing I really wanted to do in 2016 was try out way more brands, and looking back on it I think I completed that goal! With the help of Mecca, a new Sephora store and the entire world of online shopping, in 2016 I was able to try out brands like Kat Von D, BECCA, Violet Voss, Zoeva, ColourPop and more! If you’d like to see more, check out my 2015 Beauty Favourites to see how the years stack up against each other. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I do, and if you do please give it a “like” so I know! So, let’s get into it!
baby blog turned one! This time last year I hit “publish” on my first ever post announcing I was starting a blog, and you can read it here! I can’t believe a whole year has passed since! I wanted to write a post to mark the occasion but have been so stuck on what to write about. So, I’ve done a reflection post looking at what I did before blogging, why I enjoy it so much and where I see it going in the future! Give this post a “like” if you enjoy it and let’s crack on, it’s a long one!
One of the most festive ways to get into the Christmas spirit is through baking! While I have a long way to go before I become Nigella, I had so much fun baking these Christmas Tree Brownies because they’re so darn easy but look so effective! I took inspiration from Zoella (what’s new?) as she made these in her latest baking video. So, I picked up a couple Betty Crocker items for myself, added some green food colouring in and was fully in my element when it came time to decorate. Keep reading to find out how I made these and don’t forget to give this post a “like” if you enjoyed it!
To me there is nothing more festive, makeup wise, than a gorgeous bronzy gold shimmery eye, festive red lips and lots of frosty, blinding highlight. Today I’ve gathered up my holiday makeup picks for the festive season that I think achieve this look perfectly! I really love doing seasonal makeup edits, so much so that I have them all organised in my menu bar if you’d ever like to scroll through them. Under the Beauty category I have my “Seasonal Makeup Picks” link where you can see what I’ve loved to use during any time of the year from Spring to Winter, Halloween and now Christmas! So, let’s crack on with it and if you enjoy this post, please give it a “like” so I know!
